The Return of Divinity: A Techfest for the Restofus

Last we checked in with Canadian prog rippers Divinity… jeez, last time we wrote about this band we linked their MySpace profile. That’s all you need to know about how long ago it was.

But good things come to those who wait, and if the band’s new single “Manhunt” is any indication these guys haven’t lost a single step. I snoozed on Divinity’s 2013 EP The Immortalist, Part 1: Awestruck, but come February 5th we’ll have the second installment in that series, The Immortalist, Part 2: Momentum. These dudes kinda remind me of Gorod if Gorod played at like half the speed and used half as many notes. I like Gorod a lot, but that’s a good thing anyway. Check out the video for “Manhunt” below, which finds the band in top form shredding through the track.
