Bordge Survive “Past Fractures”
Last year, Vince featured Moscow’s Bordge in an Unsigned and Unholy column, praising them for being an unusual “cross between Biffy Clyro and sludge metal.” Well, Vince is on a plane on his way to NAMM right now, but I suspect he’ll be delighted to learn that Bordge, though still unholy, are now signed: this Friday, January 22, Zero Hero Recordings will release the band’s debut, Fatigue.
If you’re still not hip to these rockin’ Russians, now is a time to hop on the Bordge bandwagon: you can check out a rip-roaring new track, “Past Fractures,” below. Like Vince said, the band’s sound is definitely unique; the track starts off sounding kinda This Will Destroy You-esque and then gets really mathcore-ish, but with a lot of twang. The resulting track feels like a dream that turns into a nightmare on a moment’s notice. We approve.
