Stream the New Protest the Hero Song “Cataract”
Protest the Hero’s one-song-per-month release continues with “Cataract,” the fourth song to be released from the Pacific Myth EP. If you follow Protest the Hero you pretty much know what you’re gonna get here, but “Cataract” might be my favorite song of the bunch to be released so far — it’s got a certain melancholy quality about the melody that hits a sweet spot for me, and the guitar work is fantastic.
Stream it right here if you’ve already forked over $12 for the EP, or sign up at that same link if you haven’t yet (it’s worth it!).
And hey — do those vocals at the 4:00 mark sound familiar? That’s Michael Ciccia from Mandroid Echostar, a band recently featured in our Albums That Will Fuck Your Face Off in 2016 series!
I’m really curious to know how this subscription model is panning out for PtH. We’ve put in a request with the band for an interview on the matter, so hopefully we’ll have more information for you soon.
