Scott Weiland’s Ex-Wife Files Court Documents to be Named Executor of His Will
The really fun thing about death is that it’s the gift that keeps on giving. In addition to all the grieving and depression the loved ones of the deceased will experience, they’ll also have to jump through a lot of legal hoops to get the departed’s shit sorted out. Yay!
And while this is true no matter what (governmental, legal, and/or financial institutions that will require a death certificate: all of them), things can turn especially ugly when multiple conflicting parties want to take over the estate.
Which is exactly what’s happening with Scott Weiland’s family now, according to the most-read magazine in American waiting rooms:
“The former Stone Temple Pilots singer’s ex-wife Mary Forsberg filed court documents on Dec. 30 asking to be named the executor of Weiland’s will (Weiland was married to his third wife Jamie Wachtel at the time of his death). Forsberg also filed a copy of the will, written in April 2007, with his signature as proof, according to papers obtained by PEOPLE.
“Weiland had about $2 million to his estate, and also created a trust that has undisclosed assets.”
Weiland married Wachtel in 2013 but never updated his will. Sounds about right.
ANYWAY, in addition to being Weiland’s ex and the subject of at least one Velvet Revolver song, “Mary Mary,” Forsberg is the mother of Weiland’s children. So, yeah, by all means, give her what she wants.
