Nothing to See Here, Just an Epic Live Video of Gojira Performing in the French Alps

I will never, ever tire of seeing Gojira play live. Axl and I first saw them play the Download Festival in the UK in 2006, and we’ve been hooked ever since: I saw them twice within a one-week period on the same brief small club tour in the summer of 2012, I saw them on consecutive nights when the band headlined bigger venues in Brooklyn and Manhattan the following winter, and I’ve seen them open for a handful of bands throughout the years (In Flames, Mastodon, Machine Head, etc). It just never gets fucking old. Best live metal band going today? Very likely.

In the absence of any upcoming Gojira shows in the U.S. (the band is allegedly working on their next album in their new recording studio in NYC right this very moment), live videos of their powerful performances always do the trick. The latest, shot this past summer at the Musilac Festival in France, is positively gorgeous; how overwhelming and captivating would it be to see Gojira with the epic backdrop of the French Alps? The band had the best view of anyone there, honestly.
