Here’s Avenged Sevenfold’s Score from Call of Duty: Black Ops III

0

Avenged Sevenfold have a long-standing history with the Call of Duty video game franchise. The band actually cameoed in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and earlier this year frontman M. Shadows posed as a digital zombie for the game as a form of charity.

Well, the band has now released the original score they penned for the game, titled “Jade Helm.” There’s not really much to judge on the track, as it’s not a song in any way, but a series of score pieces–ominous guitar parts, swirling drums, then a big flourish, then nothing. And there are about seven of these. So those of you excited for a bitching new Avenged Sevenfold track are going to be disappointed. These are the bits of music playing during menu sequences of a game, the soundtrack to you gearing up your soldier.

Anyway, listen to “Jade Helm” (I don’t know why they titled it when it’s obviously not a song) below. Gamers should get familiar with these flourishes so they can eventually hear them for hours at a time while they leave the game paused in the menus screen so they can take shits or answer the phone.
