Zombi’s New Music Video is Perfect for Your ’80s-Themed Halloween Weekend
Synthwave pseudo-pioneers Zombi write the PERFECT music for Halloween. All those synths and funky bass lines just sound creepy on their own accord even if they’re not meant to, ya know? Something about the way those keyboard tones slice and dice just sends shivers down my spine.
Fitting, then, that Zombi decided to pair up their inherently creepy music with some appropriate visuals for their new video for the song “Diffraction Zone.” It’s just a montage of clips from famous ’80s horror flicks — Creepshow 2, The Blob, The Stuff and Trick or Treat among them — but these clips are all so classic and so fitting for the music that it’s impossible to turn away. If only I could make a woman as euphoric as the ghost in that one clip.
