Singer/Songwriter Natalie Prass Covers Slayer’s “Raining Blood,” Nails It
Talk about making a cover song your own: singer/songwriter Natalie Prass, whose music is about as metal as wood, recently covered Slayer’s “Raining Blood,” and I gotta say, I dig her take on it. It’s unusual, to be sure, but it’s good unusual — as opposed to, say, Tori Amos’ boring rendition of the track.
Check out Prass’ version of the Slayer classic below. It was done as part of The A/V Club’s Undercover Series, in which artists are asked to perform songs from a completely different genre of music; you may recall that this series resulted in some delightful work from GWAR, too.
