Here’s an Update on Devin Townsend’s Autobiography (Now with Cover Artwork!)

Sir Poopy MgNuggeter Devin Townsend has been teasing us that he’s been working on an autobiography for almost a year and half. Updates come in here and there, usually via Devin’s Twitter; as of February he was in the editing phase, and in May he decided to include an acoustic EP with the book.

The other day Metal Injection picked up on another update from Townsend — again via Twitter — in which the formerly skulleted metaller posted a couple of proofs for advertisements for the book, our first look at its cover art and, I believe, the title:

Devin says of the book: “This book is part manual and part diary. It’s a travelogue, a songbook, a celebration, elucidation and condemnation; it’s my story, told by me, for you.” I’m sure it’ll be an absolutely riveting read whatever its pages contain; Devin is such an engaging personality and storyteller that he could be regaling the world with stories of his morning pooping ritual and we’d all be fascinated.
