Watch: Purson’s “Electric” Lady Land
If I were the type to exchange loaded glances, I would’ve shot one towards MetalSucks contributor Grim Kim Kelly at the very instant that Ghost unveiled their current tourmates, Purson. Even for a band as hot as Ghost, that’s a brave move, we’d probably express via squinty eyes and furrowed brows. Purson is awesome, like Ghost; in fact, the former’s debut is better than the latter’s. What’s more, obviously, is that they share a sound; each night on tour, Purson will beat Ghost to the ears of the buyer with a similar pitch and product. And let’s also observe that most in the audience shall be captivated more by Purson’s singer than by Ghost’s.
So, again, we can declare Ghost awesomely cocksure and/or selfless to emerging bands: A more uptight band might allow no chance for a series of painful upstagings. Or at least frequent thefts of their thunder. Then again, it could be brilliant strategy, in which concertgoers are only teased by Purson until a motivated Ghost arrives with the full monty. What a treat for us. For now, here’s Purson’s awesome new jam and nifty video:
