Candiria’s New Song Will Break Your Bones
What a nice time to be a Candiria fan! Last week, the band announced that they’ve signed with Metal Blade and are working on their long-awaited follow-up to 2009’s Kiss the Lie… and then, during a show at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn this past weekend, they debuted a new song, “With Broken Bones”!
And ho-lee-sheet, the track is a rager. It’s got an angular riff that, combined with Carley Coma’s venom-spitting vocals, will make you feel like a human jigsaw puzzle being taken apart and put back together again… but it’s also got some parts that are really melodic and epic and cinematic and everything else-ic… and then there’s John LaMacchia’s guitar solo. Wow. The song is worth checking out for this solo alone.
Watch video of the performance below, courtesy of the always-pro Frank Huang from Pit Full of Shit. Candiria’s new album should be out sometime in 2016. I can’t wait.
