After the Burial Speak Out Regarding Their First Tour Since the Death of Guitarist Justin Lowe
Yesterday, The Faceless announced that they’d be touring the U.S. this fall, with support coming from After the Burial. The announcement was a really big deal, not just for fans of The Faceless, who haven’t toured America in a minute — but for After the Burial as well. Because this will be their first tour since the tragic passing of their guitarist, Justin Lowe, this summer. (The band had been scheduled to appear on Summer Slaughter, but for obvious and understandable reasons, pulled out of that tour.)
This being the case, the band has now issued a statement regarding their decision to once again commence touring:
I don’t think the surviving members of ATB owed anyone an “explanation” or whatever, but that all sounds reasonable to me. I’m sure they’re fans will be elated to see them soldiering on in the face of this horrible loss.
The band hasn’t announced a replacement, temporary or otherwise, for Lowe, but we’ll let you know when they do. In the meantime, get those tour dates with The Faceless here. Toothgrinder and Rings of Saturn are also on the bill. And don’t forget that After the Burial are now selling Justin Lowe memorial t-shirts and bracelets, with proceeds going to The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota and To Write Love on Her Arms. You can buy those here.
