Scale the Summit Shred Their Way Towards the “Blue Sun”

Here’s what guitarist, band leader and 24th Best Modern Metal Guitarist Chris Letchford has to say about Scale the Summit’s new track “Blue Sun:”

People have always wanted STS to go crazy with shredding – and we finally catered to that demand on this song. I consider this the album’s epic song. It has some of my favourite parts of the whole record. We’re really tapping into prog metal goodness on this one.

Yup, that’s pretty accurate! Song’s bananas technicality-wise, but as usual with StS the SONG is not lost — there are plenty of memorable parts and a cohesive structure to it.

It’s also cool to see the band continuing to have fun in this music video, which premiered at Team Rock, following the band’s completely goofy video for “Stolas.”
