Motorhead’s San Antonio Show Canceled Due to Lemmy’s Health, Status of Dallas Show Unclear
The Internet metal collective seems genuinely SUPER sad about Lemmy’s health right now. Not that we shouldn’t be; of course we should! But usually when we post news about a metal star in poor health, or who’s died (God forbid), we get the sense people are just clicking in to watch and gawk. Not the case here. The love the metal community has been directing Lemmy’s way this past week has been completely heartfelt and full of genuine concern.
So, the latest: last night’s gig in San Antonio was preemptively canceled. This after the set in Austin the night before was cut short after just three songs, a show in Salt Lake City a few days before suffered the same fate, and one in Denver, CO was canceled preemptively as well. We’re now on four canned shows in less than a week.
As of Motorhead’s most recent official update the status of tonight’s show in Dallas is unclear — only that “Lemmy will resume duties the moment he is PROPERLY rested and firing on all cylinders again” and “more details will be released soon” — but it should be noted that the show did go on last night, just without Motorhead. So, ya know, if you’re a huge Saxon fan…
