Video: Baroness Perform New Song “Chlorine and Wine” Live for the First Time
Now that you’ve had a few days to sit with it, what do you think of the new Baroness song “Chlorine and Wine?” Personally I dig it quite a lot, and Purple insantly jumps to the top of my list of most anticipated albums coming out in the remainder of 2015, albeit that’s an honor it probably would’ve had no matter what. How about you?
Baroness took the new song for its first spin in the live setting at this past weekend’s Leeds Festival. Some tuning issues aside (whoops), it sounds great; it’s clear John Baizley and Pete Adams — the only two members who stuck around after the band’s horrific 2012 bus crash — are beyond amped to be playing it live, and new bassist Nick Jost and drummer Sebastian Thomson, though they don’t get much screen time in this fan-filmed clip, certain sound up to the task. Check it out below via The PRP.
Purple comes out December 18th via the band’s own Abraxan Hymns label. Pre-order packages, which feature an instant download of “Chlorine & Wine” as well as a limited edition colored vinyl version of the new album, two picture discs, t-shirts and other unique items, are available now here, on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play.
