Yngwie Malmsteen Unleashes His “Fury” Upon the World of Fine Art
If there’s anything the photography world needs, it’s more amateur “art” depicting blurry lights at night.
Thankfully Swedish guitar great Yngwie Malmsteen is here to save the day! Here’s what Yng-Yng himself has to say about his new art series Fury, “a pioneering effort in the new medium of crafting visual art through guitar performance,” apparently not realizing that aspiring photographers have been achieving the same results for decades by accidentally pressing the shutter button whilst waving their camera around:
Anybody who is into art will be into this because it’s so crazy. It’s nuts almost how cool it looks. But the fact that it is the visual result of a musical performance per say, and it’s never been done like this, it’s extremely unique. So I think anyone who is into art, it’s going to be priceless for them.
Crazy indeed! I can’t believe how insane this art is! Visual art based on music!! What an absolutely bonkers idea!!
Watch Yngwie talk about how he’s flipping the art world on its head in the video below. Honestly, I wish it were longer.
