Finally: Deathgasm To Skullfuck The US This October

Ever since we saw the trailer for it this winter we’ve been dying to see Deathgasm, the new New Zealand-based heavy metal slasher-comedy (if you haven’t yet, go watch the trailer right now). Our interview with director Jason Lei Howden only made us want to see it more, and it seemed like all our readers were in the same boat. The comment we got most often was, When’s it coming out? Where can I see it?

Well, get ready to have your eyeballs stabbed out by cinematic greatness, guys, because Bloody Disgusting just announced that the movie will be hitting VOD and select theaters in the US as of October 2nd via Dark Sky Films.

If you have a VOD package you can probably watch the movie at home. But if you’re like me and love a good movie theater experience, the production company is currently reaching out to independent art-house theaters around the country. So that theater just off downtown? The one that serves coffee? That’s the one to keep an eye on. In fact, it probably wouldn’t hurt to contact your local art house theater and request they host the film, because if you’re a fan of this site you’re going to love this movie. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait for the DVD, which arrives early 2016.
