Watch The Queers Lose Their Shit in Onstage Fight

Punk rockers The Queers played San Diego on August 9th, and as you’re about to see, things did not go quite as planned.

The basic breakdown is that Queers bassist Dangerous Dave (great start, right?) began antagonizing his drummer and guitarist. Finally, guitarist Chris Fields seems to tell him in no uncertain terms to knock off. Double D refuses to do that, and eventually Fields decides he’s had enough and throws Dave to the ground. Thankfully, the road crew intervenes before anything could get much uglier.

Frontman Joe Queer said the following:

“Hey, everyone fucks up. Dangerous Dave will ride again. He just needs a little timeout haha! He apologized so we’re just going to move on. We’re not pulling a Screeching Weasel at SXSW thing where everyone threw Ben under the bus – even a lot of his so-called friends. Friends fuck up and you don’t always agree with what they say or do but they’re still your friends. At least in my book. When that SXSW shit went down me, Ben and Dangerous Dave couldn’t believe the cocksuckers we thought were Ben’s friends all jumped ship on him. And a lot of them took time to badmouth the shit out of him too just for good measure. When the shit hits the fan is when you find who your true friends are. The Queers and Weasel guys are all Dave’s friends are still right here for him. He’s saved my ass a few times thru the years trust me folks.”

Well, at least they dissolved all beef amiably. For the record, he’s referencing the time Screeching Weasel frontman Ben Weasel jumped into a SXSW crowd and hit a female fan. Just so you know.

Anyway, watch the blowout below. Things start to get hairy around the five-minute mark, and approximately 5:55 is where Dave crosses the line.
