Watch an Eleven-Year-Old Kid Play Devin Townsend’s “March of the Poozers” on the Drums

Our sibling site, Gear Gods, posted this video of this kid Daniel Varfolomeyev covering Devin Townsend, and because I believe the children are our future, I am now re-posting it here. As Gear Gods’ Max Frank points out, it’s cool that Daniel “cares enough and knows enough about the underground to want to learn and demonstrate his prowess on a Devin Townsend song,” and not, say, “Enter Sandman” or “Back in Black” or whatever. It proves that metal is most certainly not what a certain promoter of a certain big tour recently said it is. 

Unfortunately for Daniel, Devin doesn’t seem to change band members too often. Fortunately for Daniel, there’s no shortage of other great bands that change members the way most people change underwear, so he might be able to get a gig with one of them some day. Or just, y’know, start his own band.
