Born of Osiris Post New Song “Throw Me in the Jungle” (with Clean Singing!), Tease New Album
Summer Slaughter may be down two bands now, but the tour continues on as strong as ever: the extremely unfuckwithable lineup of Arch Enemy, Born of Osiris, The Acacia Strain, Veil of Maya, Cattle Decapitation and Beyond Creation got things kicked off last night in Denver, CO. Get tour dates here!
To celebrate the tour’s launch, Born of Osiris have released a brand new song called “Throw Me In The Jungle.” It’s been almost exactly two years since BoO released Tomorrow We Die Alive, meaning a new record in the next few months definitely seems plausible. And indeed: the Facebook post announcing this new song also contained the following tease: “New Album Details Coming Soon… #BOO2015”
The new song is a lot more mainstream / sing-songy than we’re used to hearing from these guys; it’s still got those Born of Osiris trademark chugs and ice cream truck sound effects, but it’s got a distinctly more radio-friendly feel to it. Could BoO be following label and tourmates Veil of Maya into the vaunted hauls of a lot more clean singing? Presumably we’ll find out soon enough.
In case you missed it, Born of Osiris put together a playlist of their favorite party jams — most of which have nothing whatsoever to do with metal — just for MetalSucks. Stream it here.
