Shai Hulud’s New Song is Some Cold Shit
The time between Shai Hulud full lengths has never been less than five years, which means that, at earliest, we should assume the next Shai Hulud album won’t arrive before 2018. But you know what they say: when you assume, you make an ass out of Ume, and Ume does not like being made an ass of. And so it is with great joy that I announce that Shai Hulud have released a new song, “Colder Than the Cold World” (below), which will appear on a new album that doesn’t have a release date, but we can safely assume will be out prior to 2018, ’cause a) who the fuck releases a single three years in advance?, and b) the band has just announced a new label home, No Sleep Records, and who the fuck announces a new label home three years in advance?
Conclusions: we will be getting a new Shai Hulud album in 2016 at latest, and we will not be getting slapped by Ume. Huzzah!
We’ll let you know more about the latest from Shai Hulud when there is more to know. May we incur the wrath of Ume if we’re lying.
