Justin Lowe’s Sister Posts Touching Tribute to Fallen After the Burial Guitarist
In the wake of the tragic passing of After the Burial guitarist Justin Lowe everyone in his camp has remained silent. A few short words of tribute excepted (like this statement from ATB drummer Dan Carle), not much has been said about the incident at all, including the behavior that led to his paranoid episode and disappearance. The silence isn’t too shocking, though; we’re sure the last thing Lowe’s family and friends want to worry about right now is placating the masses, especially given the already-public nature of Lowe’s mental illness and disappearance.
Lowe’s sister — who was the first to report him missing — has finally broken that silence with a brief tribute to her brother on Facebook. Although it’s still short on details — details the public may never learn — it does reveal that Lowe had been receiving treatment for his illness, and it reiterates what we all suspected, that everyone close to Lowe has remained quiet for a reason.
Here’s the post, via RockFeed.net, with Lowe’s sister’s name blurred out to protect her privacy:
Justin was a gifted musician, music producer and photographer. He was also a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to many in the music community.
The world lost an amazing talent. He touched many lives.
He was receiving professional help and we thought he was making progress. We are devastated and heartbroken at his passing. We will miss him forever.
Please respect our request for privacy as we try to cope with this tragedy. I will be logging off Facebook for a period of time to allow myself to grieve with my family. Thank you again for everyone’s thoughts, prayers, and concerns.
