Tour-ma Jean: 10th Anniversary O God, the Aftermath Trek
These anniversary tours just make me feel old. What about you?
At the same time, though, I don’t especially mind reveling in the nostalgia. O God, the Aftermath was an incredible album that blew everyone’s minds when it came out; I have fond memories of sitting on Axl’s ratty old couch getting stoned as fuck and jamming this record after a 5-episode binge of L O S T, then seeing the band — rubbed down in black dirt — perform these songs at Ozzfest the next summer. Oddly enough — or not, given the state of most bands these days — 3/5th of Norma Jean’s membership makeup has changed since then. I wonder if it’ll be weird for the “new” guys to perform this record?
