“Mammals in Babylon”: New Cattle Decapitation Song is a Characteristically Mellow Stroll in the Sun
Really insanely heavy shit is great and all, but sometimes you just wanna sit back and relax with something a little easier on the ears — y’know, like Scale the Summit, TesseracT, or Cattle Decapitation!
So, great news: Revolver has premiered “Mammals in Babylon,” a new song from Cattle Decapitation’s upcoming The Anthropocene Extinction… and it is exactly the warm rainbow hug puppy foot massage kitty tongue bath that we have come to expect from this band, as gentle as wiping one’s anus with silk. I can only imagine the “Didn’t I hear my dad listening to this on the soft rock radio station last week?” jokes coming, but I don’t care: I will always appreciate Cattle Decapitation for the gentle souls they are.
Stream “Mammals in Babylon” below. The Anthropocene Extinction comes out August 7 on Metal Blade. Pre-order it here. And don’t forget to catch the band on this year’s MetalSucks-sponsored Summer Slaughter! Dates are here.
