Avenged Sevenfold, White Zombie, Korn + More Tracks Added to Guitar Hero Live
The Guitar Hero reboot is firmly upon us. Guitar Hero Live — which promises a completely different experience from the original franchise — now has an official release date of October 20th, so get ready to start hearing about it constantly for the next four months.
In addition to an already metal-friendly list of metal songs to be included in the game that were announced last month — Alice in Chains, Pantera, Judas Priest, Mastodon, Deftones, Killswitch Engage and others — the game’s makers have just released 20 new titles including Avenged Sevenfold, Korn and White Zombie. No, Guitar Hero is never gonna have the latest Exhumed or Gorguts tracks on it, but that’s a pretty decent selection for any metalhead if you happen to end up with a plastic guitar in your hand on any given night.
Avenged Sevenfold are involved with the game more closely than simply having their music featured in the game-play. Those who pre-order Guitar Hero Live will receive three exclusive live tracks from A7X, and there’s also a rumored deathbat decoration for the guitar controller. Here’s a video of M. Shadows (not the MetalSucks commenter!) and Synyster Gates sharing some details of their involvement:
