Fear, Emptiness, Decibel: Summer Issues Will Be Cool as Ice
Before there were blogs there were these things called magazines, and the only metal magazine we still get excited about reading every month is Decibel. Here’s managing editor Andrew Bonazelli…
Sun’s out, guns out. You know we’re not talking about biceps, although Team Decibel gets plenty of reps lifting infants (editor-in-chief) and rum and Cokes (managing editor). What we’re trying to say is it’s about to be so fucking offensively hot that you’ll have no choice but to plop down next to ye olde external A/C unit and scour Decibel all summer.
Luckily, we have a shitload of killer exclusive content on the horizon, specifically for the Hall of Fame and Flexi Series. Starting with the August issue, subscribers will eventually be able to add the likes of Cattle Decapitation, My Dying Bride, Saviours (ft. Wino) and Misery Index to their trusty Deluxe Edition Flexi Collector’s Box. The Hall of Fame continues to expand in interesting new directions, first with the likes of Canadian proto-death metallers Slaughter’s full-length debut Strappado (also appearing in the August issue), then diving back into always-fertile Choosing Death territory with behind-the-scenes histories of Autopsy’s Severed Survival and Napalm Death’s From Enslavement to Obliteration.
We all know that nobody reading this is actually going outside for a long-ass time if they can’t help it. Subscribe now and ensure extreme entertainment until nature’s glorious death cycle kicks into high gear again.
