Actor Christopher Lee Has Died at the Age of 93

Actor Christopher Lee, famous for his roles in Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Count Dracula, The Man with the Golden Gun and hundreds of other films, passed away Sunday in London, The Telegraph has just announced. Lee had been suffering from heart and respiratory problems and was 93 years old.

Lee’s death is of note on a metal site, of course, because the actor released a heavy metal album last year, allegedly becoming the oldest person ever to do so. Metal Knight was recorded with Rhapsody of Fire, appropriate given his background of horror and fantasy films. He also recorded and released a symphonic metal concept album, Charlamange, in 2010. Here’s are some samples of his heavy metal output:

To say less was a true metal badass would be an understatement. Full of youth to the very end. Rest in peace.
