Entombed A.D. “Pulled Off” Metal Alliance Tour; Deicide Release Tour Posters Without Metal Alliance Branding
Ruh-roh: this year’s edition of the Metal Alliance is already half over… but it seems to have hit a fairly major snag, if the below Facebook post from Entombed A.D. is any indication.
And although the Metal Alliance Facebook page hasn’t been updated since June 1, on Saturday — a full day before Entombed A.D. made their announcement — Deicide posted the below, updated tour poster… which not only doesn’t feature Entombed A.D…. but doesn’t feature any Metal Alliance branding, either:
MetalSucks’ requests for comment from the tour’s organizers have not yet been returned. Something which may be worth noting, though: in 2013, Deicide’s Glen Benton had Broken Hope kicked off a tour, allegedly because members of Broken Hope were behaving like a-holes (listen to Benton’s version of the story here). Benton may be one of those dudes with whom one simply does not fuck, which would make sense because a) Deicide have been doing this for decades now and bands with no-bullshit attitudes tend to succeed in this business, and b) Benton has an inverted crucifix burned into his forehead, which is certainly one way of saying “World, I am not to be fucked with.”
More details as the story develops. In the meantime, here are the remaining dates on the tour:
6/11 LVCS Las Vegas, NV
6/12 Club Red Mesa , AZ
6/15 Empire Garage Austin, TX
6/16 Gas Monkey Live! Dallas, TX
6/19 The Ottobar Baltimore, MD
