Lamb of God’s Chris Adler Will Play at Least One Live Show with Megadeth
When it was announced that Chris Adler will play drums on the new Megadeth album, everyone was careful to be clear that he was only acting as a session musician and not joining the band full-time on account of his day job in Lamb of God. We also assumed this meant he wouldn’t play any shows with the band.
We were wrong.
This is very likely a one-off performance, especially since Lamb of God’s new album, Sturm Und Drang, comes out in July, and the band already has a big summer tour with Slipknot scheduled to kick off on July 25. Maybe Adler can squeeze in a couple of more dates here and there, but I wouldn’t bet on it. So if you are absolutely DYING to see Adler play with Megadeth, you should probably start making travel plans.
Something else which I find interesting about this: Dave Mustaine recently said that “we have a drummer committed to our [upcoming live] dates.” We still don’t know who this new drummer is, and I guess the dude will now have to wait in the wings just a little bit longer.
