By “Lucifer’s Hammer” — It’s a New Virgin Steele Song!
By Sophocles’ schmeckle! Strong Island’s Virgin Steele have released the first single from their new album Nocturnes of Hellfire & Damnation. It’s called “Lucifer’s Hammer,” and although I badly wanted it to be about Lucifer’s literal tool that he used to build Hell, it’s actually about… uh…
Well, I couldn’t tell you, to be honest. Although the lyrics strongly suggest that vocalist David DeFeets has access to a rhyming dictionary, they do not make any actual sense.
Or Maybe the make perfect Sense And I’m Just Distracted By the video’s bizarre misuse of Capitalization. Is there any Logic to the Manner in which Some Words are Capitalized and Some are Not? I Can Make neither heads nor tails of It.
Laugh at “Lucifer’s Hammer” below. Nocturnes of Hellfire & Damnation is out June 23 on SPV/Steamhammer.
