Get Your Skronky Death Metal Fix with Two New Pyrrhon Tracks
New York skronky tech-death rippers Pyrrhon released one monster of a record in 2014 with The Mother of Virtues. It was fierce, visceral, churning and hearteningly brutal, and if you somehow missed it you can stream it in full here. If you’re a fan of Gorguts, Dysrhythmia, Artificial Brain, Ulcerate and the like, you’ll love it.
Unfortunately things didn’t work out between Pyrrhon and their label, and Relapse Records dropped the band earlier this year. But fuck it, their spirit cannot be tamped down! The band recorded an EP on their own, and they’ve already premiered two tracks. Both of which rip, naturally, and have all the hallmarks that have come to define this band’s singular sound.
Below, check out “The Mass,” which premiered at No Clean Singing last week, along with “Cancer Mantra” which came out previously.
The Growth Without End EP comes out on June 1st and can be pre-ordered on Bandcamp.
