Korn’s Jonathan Davis Is A Gear Whore Now, Debuts Solo Track

Korn sucks. There, I said it. The only people that legitimately like them are the Jncos & whippets pre-Juggalo crowd, and everyone else is just being ironic. I never understood the appeal of a guy sounding far whinier than any mallcore screamo cutter + hip hop beats + Marcus Miller on bass + sludge guitar.

Apparently even singer Jonathan Davis needs a break from it sometimes, and has not one but three side projects – his EDM alter ego JDevil, Jonathan Davis and the SFA, and something called Killbot. I’m not sure which of these atrocities this new song is meant for, if any, but in the below video we get one small sneak peak at a song he’s working on (I can only presume it’s a demo as he is tracking his vocals in the control room, and doesn’t look like he quite has it down yet), along with a bit of him gushing about his Zen Studio interface from Antelope Audio. At least the man has some taste in sound gear.
