Blues Legend BB King Dies at 89
Loudwire reports that famous blues guitarist BB King passed away last night in Las Vegas. He was 89.
Though King didn’t make metal music, he was as metal a musician as they come. He played a guitar named Lucille, won 15 Grammys, played up to 250 shows a year, and had 15 children around the world. His work influenced guitarists like Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn. His three clubs in Memphis, LA, and New York hosted countless bands, the New York location always booking decent metal acts when no one else would. He was also a Mississippi blues man, so he more than likely sold his soul to the Devil.
We send all of King’s family and friends our deepest condolences.
