Album Premiere: Now You Know Grizzly Bear Knows No Remorse
You may feel that it’s too late to become a fan of He Is Legend and Every Time I Die. At this point, you aren’t skeptical of their excellence or anything, yet the notion of joining their fanbase is gross. I had that with Mastodon really bad — so it’s possible that you will run into a festival set by HIL or ETID and experience an “aha! moment” like mine. But, just as likely, you could stumble upon a band of a similar ilk to start fresh with. In this case, that means screamy vocals and metalcore boogie. Clever song titles. Beards.
So let’s present to you Grizzly Knows No Remorse. They’re sincere enough to charm any listener, but would-be lovers of wry mid-‘oos Southern metalcore are the big winners in this bargain: GKNR is from six thousand miles away and about a decade ago. Crank it up!
Grizzly Knows No Remorse’s Fat Glasses And The Leather Moustache is out May 27.
