Sepultura + Steve Vai = A Match Made in Hell
This past weekend in Las Vegas, NV, Steve Vai and Sepultura jammed together onstage at the Rock in Rio USA fest for the band’s 30th anniversary, and the results were unsurprisingly very cool. It’s an unlikely match to be sure, but very interesting to see, especially since Sepultura have been a one-guitar outfit since Max Cavalera departed the band in 1996.

It’s a bit of a “back in the saddle again” sound, and maybe a little of this kind of musical success can get them back on track to a glorious return. And by “maybe,” I mean “definitely not.”
