Teenage Time Killers Head To The “Barrio,” Find Woahs
A couple weeks back, we posted a new track by Teenage Time Killers, the new punk project including members of Corrosion of Conformity and My Ruin. That song, “Hung Out To Dry” had Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe on vocals, and was a lot more of a straightforward hardcore track. Axl was wary of their deal with Rise Records.
But The PRP just posted their new song, “Barrio,” featuring Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio and Brian Baker of Bad Religion, and it’s as different from “Hung Out To Dry” as you can imagine. This is a Warped Tour anthem — big, fun, made for jumping around in a page boy hat on Randall’s Island. There are big fist-in-the-air gang vocal Woahs all over the place (makes sense, with Skiba and Baker’s background). Suddenly, Teenage Time Killers sharing a label with the Bouncing Souls isn’t so crazy.
Greatest Hits vol. 1 comes out in July and will feature Corey Taylor, Nick Oliveri, Tony Foresta, Mike “IX” Williams and more. Pre-order it here or here.
