I keep waiting for Iwrestledabearonce to release the song that finally convinces me that I’ve been wrong all these years, that the band totally sucks the way people say they do, and that I now need to go the kitchen and get a fork and a bag of crow.

Sorry, haters: “Wade in the Water” is not that song.

Like “Erase it All,” the debut song from the band’s forthcoming Hail Mary, “Water” suggests that Mary is going a slightly more straight-forward album than the ones the band has made in the past… but also a much heavier album than the ones the band has made in the past. Like, shit is so heavy, the band might have to change their name to Iwrestledsevengeneticallyalteredsuperbearswithironhidesonce.
