Nick Menza To Dave Mustaine: “F*ck You, Pay Me!”
Earlier today, we wrote about what a crying goddamn shame it is that someone paid $5,000 for a songwriting session with Dave Mustaine. But at a certain point, that dude was just a big fan with too much dough. Far be it from Dave to turn down a fool’s money.
Except shady business abounds, as The PRP reports that ex-Megadeth drummer Nick Menza is lashing out at his former frontman, claiming he’s owed some money. Menza posted the following on Facebook:
“To: Dave Mustaine in regards to my publishing royalties. I find it very unprofessional that you conduct business like a child, quit playing games! be a man and stop taking food from my kids mouths. Its my earned money, Not yours. quit ripping me off. WTF?”
Ho boy. It doesn’t help that Megadeth are asking their fans to crowdfund their newest record, which, if Menza’s claims are true, means the band is doing whatever it takes to spend no money.
That said, what did Menza expect? It was only January when he hinted at rejoining the band, only to bow out again a few months later. Did he want Mustaine to send him a ‘No Hard Feelings’ card with a check? We’re talking about a famous dictatorial loudmouth with selective short-term memory here.
Here’s hoping Nick gets paid. If he did a crowdfunding campaign where, for a $50 donation, you could help him write a scathing letter to Dave Mustaine, I bet he’d make a mint. I’d sign up.
