Baroness Side Project Valkyrie Streaming New Track
Baroness is a band that’s been through some shit. And not the usual self-inflicted rockstar bullshit of collapsing after success or drug ODs – they were victims of an absolutely horrifying, action-movie style bus crash that put them all in the hospital for months, with a very long recovery.
So it wouldn’t be all that much of a stretch to say that it could have easily put them all out for good. But no – they soldiered on, and not only have they continued, but guitarist Pete Adams has now finally had time to return to working on his side project, Valkyrie.
They’ve affected a glorious return to form with this streaming new track, entitled “Wintry Plains,” and the music is exactly evocative of the title – a slow, doomy Southern rock vibe, but also a taste of the frozen North.
Valkyrie’s new album Shadows is out May 19th on Relapse.
