This Summer, Virgin Steele Will Release the Most Important Album of All Time*
As previously announced, 2015 will see a new offering from Virgin Steele, the best heavy metal band ever to come out of Long Island save for every other heavy metal band that ever came out of Long Island. Well, we now know that album will be called Nocturnes of Hellfire & Damnation, and will come out June 23 on SPV/Steamhammer.
That would be exciting enough, but the band will also release the album with not one, not two, but THREE different covers. On the one hand, this is kind of a dick move, seeing as it means that the band’s fan will have to buy three copies of the same album (assuming he’s a completist). On the other hand, can you blame the band for wanting to sell three units, thereby shattering their previous sales record by two?
Here are the three album covers, which, needless to say, are all metal as noodles:
Which one do you guys like best? Personally, I think the third is far the most disturbing. I can’t imagine that one ending up on record store shelves, at least not without some tape covering up the guys’ faces or something.
