TOMORROW: Heavy Metal Happy Hour at Over the Eight, Presented by MetalSucks and Metal Injection

One of the best things about living in New York City is that the co-heads of MetalSucks and Metal Injection live here, so if you’re really, really, really lucky, you might get to party with us! And the odds of that happening have just increased: we’re teaming up with Brooklyn bar Over the Eight (“From the owners of Saint Vitus!”) to bring you a Heavy Metal Happy Hour each and every month!

Last month’s inaugural HMHH was a blast, and we’ll be back this Friday (tomorrow!) for round two. This month’s guest DJ’s are none other than MetalSucks own “Grim” Kim Kelly, and Metal Injection’s Frank Godla, spinning new tunes by Ygdrorgolothyr and Dream Theater, respectively. It’s also the listening party for Meek is Murder’s new album Onward, out May 5th via Rising Pulse (listen to “Upward” here), so drop by if you want a special sneak preview.

As usual, wells and drafts will be 2-for-1 from 6pm-9pm, and it’ll only cost you $5 for a beer/shot combo all night. Huzzah! So come get sloshed with us, won’t you???
