Buy the New Encenathrakh Album (feat. Krallice’s Colin Marston + Mick Barr) for $701.26, Stream it for Free
The release of the debut album by brutal death metal supergroup Encenathrakh — featuring Colin Marston (Gorguts, Dysrhythmia, Krallice, Behold… The Arctopus, etc), Mick Barr (Krallice, Orthrelm, Ocrilim, etc), Weasel Walter (Behold… The Arctopus, The Flying Luttenbachers) and Paulo Henri (Copremesis) — flew completely under our radar until now, when MetalSucks reader Tom H. alerted us to a Facebook post by the Brooklyn metal venue Saint Vitus from last September. Guess we’re not in the cool death metal kids club… sorry, guys.
But man. This shit is cray! The Encenathrakh Bandcamp profile has just two tags — “metal” and “brutal” — and Tom tells us that the project is improv, and all together that’s a pretty good synopsis of the story. There is very little in the way of what you’d call structure here, just a jumble of insane death metal riffs and gutturals, kind of like a techier version of Portal. And there is no other information about this band anywhere else on the Internet.
In tr00 underground metal form, Encenathrakh really do not want you owning this album, or at least not yet: while the entire thing can be streamed via Bandcamp, it’ll set you back $701.26 to download it. I wonder if anyone’s taken the bait? Nevertheless, MS reader Tom tells us that the album is getting a proper physical release “soon” via NY record label P2, so look out for that maybe.
