Exclusive Track Premiere: “Mr. O” by Kings Destroy
Brooklyn’s Kings Destroy take their name from a graffiti gang that was active in the Bronx during the late 70s and early 80s — which is completely appropriate. The band’s forthcoming self-titled album (their third release in four years!), sounds like it came from that era, when New York was a grimy and dangerous place, walls with spray-painted tags and art outnumbered clean ones, and the brightest colors anyone wore were shit brown and navy blue. Kings Destroy are considered a stoner/doom band, but as demonstrated by the painfully infectious track “Mr. O,” there’s just enough of a punk influence that it’s easy to imagine them playing at CBGB’s, too. Little Wonder that Kings Destroy arrives with endorsements from Pentagram’s Bobby Liebling and Yob’s Mike Scheidt.
MetalSucks is proud to be premiering “Mr. O.,” which you can listen to below. Kings Destroy will be released on LP, CD and digitally on May 5th, 2015 via War Crime Recordings. You can pre-order it on CD here or on vinyl here!
