Maruta “Stand in Defeat”
Perennial MetalSucks faves Maruta, the only grindcore band currently endorsed by porn star Mia Khalifa, have released “Stand in Defeat,” the first single from their forthcoming Relapse debut, Remain Dystopian. As you can imagine of the first song to be released from a grind album encouraging the world keep on being shitty, the track is about as smooth and subtle as a prostate exam performed by Freddy Krueger. In other words: it’s VERY promising.

… and you can check out “Stand in Defeat” below. Remain Dystopian comes out June 2, and can be pre-ordered here (physical copies) or here (digital downloads). Although there mere fact that it’s a new Maruta album should be enough to get you interested, you may be curious to know that the album also features guest vocals from At the Gates’ Tomas Lindberg and Pig Destroyer’s J.R. Hayes, “plus layers of noise from Agoraphobic Nosebleed’s Jay Randall,” and was “recorded in various studios including drums with Pig Destroyer’s Scott Hull and vocals with Torche’s Jonathan Nuñez.” In other words, against all odds, the endorsement from Ms. Khalifa isn’t the most exciting one Maruta have received.
