A Band Called Ruby Isle Completely Recorded Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction As An Electronica Album
This must be karma Six Feet Under’s re-recording of Back in Black: a not-even-remotely metal group called Ruby Isle has completely re-recorded Guns N’ Roses revered debut, Appetite for Destruction, as an electronica record.
Maybe stranger still… it’s not terrible! I suspect a lot of you will hate it anyway, but whatever. I think it sounds like the Drive soundtrack. Some of the covers are better than others, sure, but on the whole, well… I do not mind admitting that the MetalSucks Mansion Monkeys and are currently in the midst of a dance party in the Rosenberg Wing. “Mr. Brownstone,” in particular, got asses shakin’. Whoop whoop!
You can check out Ruby Isle’s “reimagined” Appetite for Destruction below. The album was actually recorded and released in late 2010, but was then pulled due to legal reasons (can’t believe they didn’t see that coming). It finally made its way onto Spotify this past December, so, y’know… we’re only a little late in discovering this!
