Sumerian Records Now Making Sneakers for Periphery, Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, and More

Sumerian Records is diversifying their portfolio: they’re teaming with The Ave and BANDMERCH to launch a new line of sneakers featuring the logos and art of some of their most famous signees, including Periphery, Born of Osiris, and Veil of Maya.

As Metal Injection notes, plenty of other metal bands and sneaker brands have collaborated on products before, but this is the first time a label has gotten involved… in fact, they’re even selling kicks featuring Sumerian’s (anachronistic and culturally misattributed) logo, which seems a little odd because I think fans really care about bands, not record labels, but whatever.

The shoes do arrive with a hefty price tag of $85, but that’s more or less on par (say, within twenty bucks) of metal-branded sneakers.
