Show Us Your MetalSucks: The Lazer/Wulf Edition
MetalSucks reader Paul M. sent us the best fucking email ever earlier today. The gist: he discovered instrumental progressive sludge-dredgers Lazer/Wulf via MetalSucks, went to see them live, got his face destroyed, then posed for a photo with the band (wearing his MetalSucks hoodie, naturally), whose members are also very down with the Suckness.
Here, I’ll let Paul tell you all about it himself:
I had the most random Wednesday night early this week. My wife told me about this app called Bandsintown. I downloaded it and was checking out All Local Events when I saw that Lazer/Wulf was playing at a local bar called the Asheville Yacht Club. I have been a fan of the band ever since I saw them on MetalSucks, thank you for that. My friend, Ryan P, came over that night for our weekly riff-out session and we headed downtown afterwards. It was just Lazer/Wulf playing, it was loud, and they killed it! One thing I thought was cool, is that they played their technical math metal without a click track. It was raw and heavy! It was such a blast and I’m stoked that I got to see them live, especially in such an intimate setting. Their merch was cool, I scored a record and a shirt and my friend purchased a CD. They also had cassettes. I knew I had to represent MetalSucks for introducing me to their music and gifting me a MetalSucks hoodie! They took notice of the hoodie. I told them that it was your website that introduced me to their music and they also expressed their love for you guys. So here are my pics for Show Us Your MetalSucks with Lazer/Wulf!
Thanks so much, Paul! For your troubles we’ll be rewarding you with a big box o’ metal in the mail.
