Here’s the Latest Adam D./Corpsegrinder/Shannon Lucas Project Update
We’ve been hearing about the new project that features Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz, Cannibal Corpse’s George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher, and former The Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas since April of 2011, which is an eternity in metal years. Then, last May, Adam D. said the band’s debut was almost done, but also admitted that…
“As far as a release date, I don’t know because there is a lot of red tape. I think you can’t release a record until like six months after a member releases theirs, and I know that there’s a new Cannibal [Corpse] record coming out soon so it might have to be stalled up for a little bit.”
Well, Cannibal Corpse’s most recent album, A Skeletal Domain, came out almost exactly six months ago, so we should be getting close… right?
Right! Metal Injection came across this Corpsegrinder Instagram post from last month, in which he excitingly reveals that the record will be released “within the next year.” So you just have to try not to get hit by a bus for twelve more months (or less!) if you wanna hear this thing, which is fine news.
Still no word on what the band or record are called, or who’s releasing it for that matter. Hopefully we’ll know ALL the details soon.
