And the Lineup for Heavy Montreal 2015 is…

Is there any doubt that Heavy Montreal is now THE premiere destination metal festival in North America? Sure, there are other festivals, and some of them are very awesome, but some focus one just one genre or grouping of genres, many of them are indoors (boo), and none attract the level of talent the organizers of Heavy Montreal do on a yearly basis. At the very least, it’s the closest we have to the infamous summer festivals of Europe.

So it’s no surprise that this year’s lineup is shaping up to be just as awesome as in years past, if not moreso. And varied too — there’s something for everyone. I mean, sheeeeeeit, the big lights of Slipknot and a festival performance from the legendary Faith No More — that right there is enough for me! And who would’ve thought we’d ever see a festival with Warrant and Neurosis on the same bill?! Gojira! Ihsahn with a rare North American performance! Pig Destroyer!!! AGGGGGGHH!

The festival takes place August 7th, 8th and 9th at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 13th at 1pm.
