Saturday To Get Hazy

Well this hazy shade of winter may have finally let go of NYC and I think I can speak for everyone in the big moldy apple when I say THANK — FUCKING — S(A)TAN!!!!!!!!!

We’ve been experiencing a particularly shitty patch of snowy/icy nonsense lately; the metropolitan upside for anyone who drives is that parking regulations have been suspended aplenty so nobody’s really had to move their cars for a while, the downside is…..well, everything else.

But seemingly there are sunny, greener pastures ahead — before long, a warm new season will have fully taken over and we’ll be wondering why the hell we even cared about any of that dark frigid bullshit in the first place…

To help make a triumphant push through the final freeze, today I have some mighty tasty jamzzz from one of Germany’s premier jammy psychedelic stoner outfits Colour Haze. Admittedly I have been out of the know about these guys until quite recently, and I feel seriously stoopid for missing out on their heady goodness for so long. The band has released a bunch of ripping albums thus far, and its new one (entitled To The Highest Gods We Know) is no exception.

So let’s start with that newest record and work our way back to the beginning of this impressive band’s canon. Then for shits n poops we can imbibe a few more haze-friendly tunes…
